ConnectWise RMM

Overview

This document will detail how to deploy ConnectWise RMM/ConnectWise Platform with ImmyBot.

Prerequisites

• An active ImmyBot subscription or trial
• Admin access to ConnectWise RMM
• Permissions in ImmyBot for managing Integrations and Deployments

Integration Capabilities

• Running scripts on the device
• Refreshing the agents’ connection status on-demand
• Importing agents from linked clients into ImmyBot
• Mapping clients from the integration to tenants in ImmyBot
• Getting an install token for a specific client

Process

Create the ConnectWise RMM API Credentials

1. Navigate to Integrations -> API Access.

2. Click on Generate API Access

3. Provide an API Key Name and Description.

4. Select the following scopes:

   Scope	Needed for
   platform.automation.create	starting the ImmyBot ephemeral agent / running scripts
   platform.automation.read	shellScripts template lookup
   platform.companies.read	client listing, company lookup
   platform.devices.read	endpoint listing, heartbeat, and the install token
   platform.sites.read	site resolution needed to obtain install token

5. Check the consent box

6. Click on Generate API Access

   

7. The API Key and the API Secret Key will be displayed. Make a note of these and the API URL somewhere safe, these will be needed for configuring the integration in ImmyBot.

   

Set up the integration in ImmyBot

1. Navigate to Show More -> Integrations

2. Click on Add Integration

3. Select ConnectWise RMM

4. Change the ApiEndpoint to your ConnectWise RMM region.

5. Update the ClientId and ClientSecret to use the ones you created in CW RMM.

   

6. Click Update

7. Enable the integration

8. Link your clients in the client tab

Set up the Deployment

1. Click on Deployments and then Click on New
2. Select ConnectWise RMM - Integration from the Software / Task drop down
3. Select the radio button labeled Installed under the Software should be
4. Select the Latest radio button under Desired Version
5. Select the radio button labeled Required under Target Enforcement
6. Select the radio button labeled Cross Tenant under Target Scope
7. Select the radio button labeled All Computer under Target Type
8. Select the radio button labeled No Filter under Target Filter
9. Click on Create to save your deployment.

Now the next time a session is run against a targeted computer, ConnectWise RMM will get installed.
