Hi! My name is Kayla. I am new to the ImmyBot team as a vendor, but not to the software itself.

I started with Immense Networks in 2015 as a helpdesk technician with more willingness to learn than actual experience. I still remember late nights setting up computers while Darren sat in the dark coding what would one day become ImmyBot.

One stand out memory? While I was finishing my tickets and time entries late one night, I walked into Darren’s office, pulled out his filing cabinet seat (they are a thing and super cool, by the way) and asked him, “So… what are you doing here?” He responded with his idea of having an automated robot that would set up new computers, send progress emails, and allow the technician to simply box it up and ship it out.

I asked him, “If you do that, then what would I do?” At that point, my main job was setting up computers and new users. He told me he wanted me to do something else that would better match my skills. Automation didn’t eliminate my role; it made me available for better ones.

A few months later, I became the first dedicated dispatcher at Immense Networks. After helping build the dispatch processes, I moved into leadership as Support Services Manager. Earlier this year, I was able to come back to my first love of organization with an opportunity on the ImmyBot team managing logistics as Event Operations Manager. Calendars, coordination, and planning are my heart’s true calling, and ImmyBot had a need that I was able to fill.

The conference realm is a completely different ball game than the MSP space. While everything looks like sunshine, rainbows, and fun (and of course it is), there is also an incredible amount of work and planning behind the scenes. My favorite part is watching all the planning come to life and evaluating what went well and what can be improved next time.

I am just returning from MSPGeek Con 2026. It was my first time attending and I found it to be absolutely fantastic. Not only was I able to spend so much time with MSPs from our community and connect with those currently working roles I used to hold, I also learned from those who have been where I am headed in my new role.

We held our first ever AutoMAYtion Madness pre-day event. Three separate teams built automations using whatever tools they had available to them live in 90 minutes!

Team “Kernel Panic! At the Disco” used Rewst and NinjaRMM to create an automation that checked endpoint activity and alerted support for devices that had not checked in after a set number of days.

Team “EMOtional Intelligence” built a Rewst and Outlook automation that searched emails for keywords specifically to “seek and destroy” phishing and malicious emails before users can interact with them. For demonstration purposes, they searched for “Goots” and forwarded all those emails to a specific user.

Team “The Avengers” created a handheld device that searched Hudu and used a built-in camera to record documentation—at least in theory. They ran out of time before fully finishing it.

In the end, EMOtional Intelligence won the competition after both attendees and judges found it hilarious that every email in ProVal’s Stephen Nix’s mailbox containing the word “Goots” was automatically forwarded to Tara’s inbox. By the end of the event, she had well over 100 new emails waiting for her.

The rest of the week was filled with birthdays, D&D sessions, Community Table talks, keynotes, and breakout sessions. I left MSPGeekCon excited not only about the future of events at ImmyBot, but also about the incredible community surrounding this industry.

Can’t wait to see y’all at the next one 🌙
